POPULAR soprano, Sabina Mossolow, and accomplished pianist, Elna van der Merwe, will present Wine, Women and Song at 17:00 in the Nederburg Manor House on Sunday – the penultimate recital in the 2009 Nederburg Concert Series.
The musicians promise to take the audience on a trip of discovery into the world of wine in song and operetta.
The duo will perform songs by Verdi and Rossini around the theme of wine, as well as art songs by women composers such as Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, Clara Schumann and Alma Mahler, and songs by the South African composer Rosa Nepgen, in commemoration of the centenary of her birth.
