THE police of Klapmuts are warning women to beware, following four rapes during the past two weeks. Women are warned not to walk alone at night and to avoid deserted and open areas.
When at home, do not open doors to strangers and avoid places of ill repute, such as illegal shebeens.
In the case of a rape, victims must immediately report the crime to their local police, to speed up the investigation and to receive the necessary medical care (tel 021-875-8000).
