Register for municipal elections

A SPECIAL voter registration day for the municipal elections will be held on Saturday to enable all eligible voters who have not previously registered (or who have changed address) to do so at their local polling station.
You can phone the Electoral Commission toll free on 0800 11 8000 to check whether you are registered or not, or where to register.
Voters can also send an SMS to check their registration details.
Type in your identity number and send to 32810 to receive confirmation of registration. Alternately, check the IEC website (www. elections. org.za).
Home Affairs is open until 17:00 on Saturday.
