AT the recent Michelangelo International Wine Awards, the De Meye Trutina 2001 was awarded the Golden Oldie Trophy: clearly illustrating the staying power of De Meye’s flagship red wine.
Trutina, a regular 4-star Platter wine, is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominated blend (80%), with Shiraz (20%).
Winemaker, Marcus Milner, who has been winemaker at De Meye for the past decade, chose the name Trutina, which means ‘balance’ in Latin.
