Rural Cape Music Supper Concerts

CELEBRATE the arrival of sunny days at Solms-Delta’s unique Saturday Sunset Supper Concerts from 31 October. There will be regional Cape folk heritage flavours with vastrap, ghoema, jazz and boeremusiek. Some of the shows that are lined up for this year are: African Gospel Jazzfunk (31 October), Ghoema Jazz with Mac McKenzie (7 November), Cape Jazz with Robbie Jansen (14 November), African Indigenous Church Jazz with Charles Louw (21 November), Oom Jacobus and Tannie Hester Cloete, the inimitable guitar duo from Namaqualand with their original, traditional story-telling songs (28 November), Kyle Sheppard Trio - Indigenous African Improvisational Jazz (5 December), Cape Malay choir - Nagtroepe Vocal Ensembles (12 December) and Nonspesifiek - atmospheric music, mixing Afrikaans, jazz and rock sounds with indigenous music (19 December). The ‘Kaapse kos’ buffet is also available. Shows will be held from 18:00 to 20:30 every Saturday. Entry for an adult including food is R150 (children R65). Book on 021-874-3937.
