THE drama students of Lukhanyo Youth Development will perform on stage on 6, 7, 13 and 14 November in Mbekweni, Paarl and Wellington.
The play is about thoughts, feelings, frustrations, dreams, about the present and the future, about choices for right or wrong. It is also about poverty and perspective, about Xhosa culture as well as modern life and about differences and unity. The production will be in English.
Since August, 14 youths aged between 13 and 23 have worked to produce the play. On 6 and 13 November the play can be seen at Lukhanyo’s headquarters in Celiwe Street, Mbekweni, at 19:00. On 7 November the play can be seen at Huguenot Primary School in Wellington at 20:00 and on 14 November at the Old Mill Theatre in Paarl at 20:00.
