Women’s League set to kick off

THE women’s soccer teams in the Cape Winelands region are ready for action as the Absa Women’s League 2009/2010 kicked off on Sunday 8 November. The ABSA Women’s League is a partnership between South African Football Association and Absa aimed at and focused on developing women football at grassroot level. The league will have 14 teams affiliated with SAFA Cape Winelands battling against each other in a series of home and away matches. Some of these matches will take place on the sports grounds of Boy Louw, Weltevrede and Mbekweni.
