New resort lodges at Pearl Valley

Pearl Valley Golf Estate has commenced with the development of 90 Resort Lodges, the latest product on offer on the prestigious 212 hectare estate.
Designed to provide an appealing option for buyers seeking a convenient lock-up-and-go lifestyle, construction will be scheduled in three phases of five blocks each.
The self-contained Resort Lodges will provide an ideal lock-up-and-go option for both corporate and private buyers.
These include retired couples who do not want the burden of a big house and garden, but who are still active and looking for a secure living environment, and who are interested in playing the world class golf course and enjoying the various activities on offer in the valley, including visits to its famous restaurants and wine estates.
Buyers may choose between three-bedroom units between 246mē and 284mē and four-bedroom units of 255mē, available from R2,2 million.
The purchase of a Resort Lodge entitles the buyer to golf membership and access to all amenities on the estate. These include the Equestrian Centre, and a multi-faceted clubhouse which is due for completion in early 2006.
Altogether 15 blocks comprising six Resort Lodges each will be set around a scenic lake in the north-eastern corner of the Signature Golf Estate.
Located adjacent to the Driving Range and overlooking the first hole, the spacious three-storey units will all have lakeside views and overlook the majestic Drakenstein and Franschhoek mountains.
Units will be sold on a sectional title basis and buyers have the option to either buy an individual unit or to acquire an entire block.
Three distinctive clusters, each comprising five blocks, will be created, contributing to an intimate village feel.
Buyers will benefit from future plans to build a hotel on the opposite wall of the dam, which will be linked to the Resort Lodges by a bridge.
Resort Lodges may in future be utilised to supplement hotel accommodation as an income generating option, once the hotel has been completed.
While the layout of the respective units is identical, the interior design is at the discretion of the buyer.
Top class finishes are used throughout and facilities include air-conditioning and under-floor heating to the living room, kitchen and bathrooms.
The designer bathrooms are fitted with a rejuvenating Spa bath. There is a fireplace in the living room and each unit has an outside patio with braai area, a dual, covered carport and enclosed yard. To date more than 300 erven have been sold at Pearl Valley, including a prime erf which recently sold at a landmark price of R3 million.
Properties are generously sized between 1100mē and 2800mē and each plot is elevated to ensure uninterrupted views across fairways, greens and water features.
Prices range from R1 295m to R3m per stand and already these are proving to be an excellent investment, with re-sales showing an increase in values of 50% in the first three years.
