SINCE the attack in our house last week I sense a feeling of dread and fear amongst the people I talk to in Paarl.
I am afraid to say that to a large extent I blame the Paarl Post for this, because of the negative reporting with which they bombard us on the front page every week.
I am sure the evil-doers thrive on this.
But I want to encourage the people who are seeking peace in this beautiful town of ours: during the attack on our family that Sunday evening, I realised that we are fighting a battle against evil and not against flesh and blood.
I got up after I had been knocked down and cried out, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, go!”
What happened next I can only describe as a pack of hyenas running away, dropping their weapons in the process.
In this time of healing, we are experiencing so much love and support from so many people who are remembering us in their prayers.
We thank the Lord for this because we realise how much He loves us and all the people in this beautiful valley.
I want to urge the Paarl Post to help all of us to get our peace of mind back.
