AFTER a very successful basketball league, a Winelands All Star basketball team for the 2009 season was announced during the finals at Solms Delta this past weekend.

The gold division team consists of Anvor Fortuin, Enrico May, Warren Lobberts, Milano Matthee, Curtly Titus (all from New Orleans Secondary School), Sonwabile Gubuza, Malawande Ntsodo (both from Kayamandi), Medwynn Abrahams, Marshall Fortuin, Denovan van Rensburg (all from Klein Nederburg Secondary), Sandiso Lusele and Skalika (Desmond Tutu High school).

The silver division team consists of Lowen Solomons, Lorenzo Jacobs, Innocent Zeze (all from Paarl School of Skills), Jody Arendse, Chadle Wenn, Roderick Jackson (all from Kylemore), Odwa Sikamela (Bridges of Hope), Jaydrian Martin, Eduardo Englebrecht (both from Ligstraal), Justin Henricks and Lendle Syfers (Noorder-Paarl High).
