THE well-known band Killers from Las Vegas (USA), will perform a concert on Sunday 6 December at Val de Vie Wine and Polo Estate outside Paarl. Gates open at 16:00. The band consists of Brandon Flowers (lead vocals and keyboard), David Keuning (guitar), Mark Stoermer (bass guitar) and Ronnie Vannucci (drums). Their most recent release ‘Day & Age’ (2008) went to number one in the UK and number six on the billboard chart. Paarlites can expect heavy traffic on the day of the concert in the Val de Vie area. More than 7 000 cars are expected. Fans are advised to share rides to the concert. Ticket prices are from R272 to R529 from Computicket at 083-915-8000 or Checkers/Shop-rite.
