WITH the holidays on our doorstep the Drakenstein Municipality has a kiddies’ holiday program lined up.
* At the Saron library there will be loads of activities for the youngsters and they can learn how to make paper chains on 14 December (10:30), on 15 December (10:30) they can make their own jewellery boxes, on 17 December they’ll make Christmas trimmings (10:30) and on Friday 18 December there will be a jumping castle and a slippery slide with loads of fun.
* At the Mill Street library in Paarl kids can learn how to make Christmas crackers (bring your own scissors) on 14 December (10:00), on 15 December (10:00) there will be a Market Day/Entrepreneur’s Day and kids can book their own table and sell their goodies.
On 17 December (10:00) you should pack in your scissors again to make a card for Santa. On 18 December (10:00) there will be a video show.
* At the Groenheuwel library there will be a Christmas party for readers between the ages of 6 and 15 years on Friday 18 December. The party starts at 13:00.
* The Wellington Readers will host a Mr and Miss Wellington Reader competition in Van Wyksvlei library hall on 10 December.
