THE Madiba House at the Groot Drakenstein Correctional Services will be a focus point for Paarl Tourism during the 2010 World Cup.

The Mayoral Committee last week received a Tourism Readiness for 2010 report that stated that a marketing brochure about the Madiba House is being developed as a joint initiative between Drakenstein Municipality and the Department of Correctional Services.

The branding of tourism marketing material as well as the Wellington and Paarl tourism offices will be upgraded in time for the World Cup to serve as Paarl 2010 Tourism Information Offices.

Additional temporary tourism information officers will been appointed and small, micro and medium businesses will be given training programmes early next year to help them to identify business opportunities.
