Classical Music Festival
2005-09-08
DON’T miss the next Classical Musical Festival in Franschhoek Friday 28 to Sunday 30 October.
Co-ordinated by the Franschhoek Trust and concert whiz, pianist Christopher Duigan, the concerts take place in a variety of venues including some of the country’s finest eateries, historic wine cellars and magnificent churches.
With funds going to deserving local charities this year’s selection of classical recitals, café concerts and entertaining music experiences include performances from the Los Angeles-based clarinet virtuoso Diana Bures, Baroque orchestra Camerata Tinta Barocco, the Six Cellists and festival favourites the Kerimov Trio, featuring Russian virtuosos Boris and Elena Kerimov (cello and violin) and baritone Federico Freschi who performs along with pianist Christopher Duigan.
