Art event to raise funds for school

THE New Beginnings School for Small Children in Van der Lingen Street, Paarl is busy raising funds to ensure the future of the educare centre. They need to raise R80 000 over the next year, R25 000 of this within the next two months.
Their current fundraising project is an art exhibition where original works by a number of well-known and up-and-coming South African artists will be showcased and offered for sale.
You can view the art on Thursday 15 September (18:00 to 21:00), Friday 16 September (13:00 to 21:00) and Saturday 17 September (10:00 to 21:00) On the Friday and Saturday there will be fire dancing from 19:00.
Artists include amongst others Selwyn Pekeur, Solomon Siko, Nannette Ranger, Jenny Parsons, Shui Lyn, Tilly van Huysteen, Helga Hoveka, Marina Clift, Rhafique Fortuin, and Kervin Cupido.
