THE Paarl Downhill Mountain-bike race that took place at the Language Monument in Paarl South on Sunday, proved to be a great success, with participants and supporters coming from afar to watch these adrenaline junkies put their bodies on the line. Andrew Neethling (placed 13th in the world) from Somerset West won the Elite Class, with Johan Potgieter (SA downhill champ in 2008) second and Jonty Neethling third.
