Russian at La Motte

A RUSSIAN programme will be presented at La Motte on Saturday, with Alexander Ivashkin (cello) and Anneke Lamont (piano).
Ivashkin is professor in cello at the London University.
He is also a custodian of one of the Australian Chamber Music Festivals.
Ivashkin and Lamont will play works by Tschaikovsky, Rubinstein and Rachmaninoff.
The concert on 12 November will be in a lighter vein, with a performance by Cape Town’s popular Lyric Piano Trio, consisting of Suzanne Swanepoel (violin), Peter Martens (cello) and Elna van der Merwe (piano).
They will be supported by a number of Cape musicians in an interesting program including Bolling’s Jazz Suite for Piano Trio, with double bass and percussion. A most entertaining menu of music is promised!.
Concerts start at 19:00 and admission is R100 pp.
