ATLETIEK
Die Tradisionele Atletiekbyeenkoms vir hoërskole vind op 11 Februarie plaas op die Daljosafat-sportgronde. Die byeenkoms begin 08:30 tot ongeveer 16:30. Skole wat in aksie gaan wees, is Paulus Joubert, Noorder-Paarl, New Orleans, Klein Nederburg en Charleston Hill Sekondêre Skole. Kontak die skool by 021-862-2720 of G Ricketts by 082-563-4926.
GHOLF
Paarl Gholfklub bied ’n kapteinsdinee aan op Woensdag 24 Februarie (19:00 vir 19:30). Hierdie aandpak-geleentheid word by Paarl Stadsaal aangebied om lede te onthaal wat langer as 20 jaar lid is van die klub. Kostes beloop R300 per persoon en dié geleentheid is slegs vir manne. POLO
* The first event of the annual BMW International Polo Series takes place on 27 February at the Val de Vie Wine and Polo Estate, when South Africa takes on Italy in a 14-goal handicap encounter. Visit www.circa.co.za for more information.
* The Carrol Boyes Ladies Cup Polo Tournament will take place from 12 to 14 February at the Val de Vie Wine & Polo Estate. On Friday and Saturday the Polo will start at 16:30 and on Sunday it will start at 10:00, followed by prize-giving. DARTS
The first general meeting of the Drakenstein Darts Association will be held on 15 February at the Ambagsvallei Sports Complex at 20:00. All clubs must be represented by two delegates. New clubs are also welcome. The Open Challenge competition has just started and are played on Mondays and Wedensdays at 20:00 at the same venue. Contact Mervin Isaacs at 082-315-5206.
SOCCER
