FFOR some time now, a friend and I have been enjoying morning walks with the dogs in Paarl’s almost forgotten arboretum which lies sort of hidden on the eastern bank of the Berg River.
I want to take this opportunity to remind Paarlites of the beauty on their doorstep.
Yes, there have been incidents there, and one must always be cautious, but we’ve not encountered any problems.
The dogs love to run, dip in the water and chase each other and I am hoping more people will join us on our morning and/or evening walks - the larger the group the safer the place becomes. For times and meeting places, please call me on 083-406-0106 or Michelle on 084-230-6968.
I also want to thank the municipality for cutting the grass, thereby making the walks even more pleasant.
