Final Rural Cape Summer Sunset Concert

THE Rural Cape Summer Sunset Concert series at Solms-Delta Wine Estate draws to a close this Saturday 27 February to the sounds of the UWC Production Band. These hidden gems kicked off the first half of the summer concert programme last year with a grassroots Afrojazz-Gospel treat, setting the stage for a successful season and it is fitting that they should play on the final evening. The musicians come from all across Africa and some are past students of Solms-Delta’s artist-in-residence, Les Javan. Members of the local Delta Vastrap-Genootskap, the Delta Blue-stars and Delta Langbroek band, together with Les Javan will, with their vibrant talent and enthusiasm, set the stage for an evening of music and song. The concert starts at 18:00 and the cost is R150 (R65 for children) including a delicious ‘Kaapsekos’ buffet catering for all tastes. Book on 021-874-3937.
