DURING 2009 and the beginning of this year I had to rush my husband to the Paarl Hospital, to the clinics in Wellington and the TC Newman Hospital countless times.
There are no words to describe the wonderful treatment that we received.
We did wait a while at the Paarl General Hospital, but the wonderful nursing staff and professionalism of the doctors could not be faulted.
While waiting for my husband to be admitted, I observed a nurse going off duty. As she was about to leave, a little girl was brought into casualty. She had been knocked down by a car.
This nurse voluntarily gave up almost three hours of her time to comfort and nurse this child.
I find only praise and deep gratefulness for these institutions and wish to say thank you to the dedicated staff.Natalie Comninos
