Funds for conservation

Funds for conservation

2010-03-11

THE sales of a local wine, Painted Wolf, raise funds for conservation (Tusk Trust) through a contribution equal to 5% of the value of all sales of wines in the UK during 2010 and 2011.

This company was founded in mid 2007 by Jeremy and Emma Borg. They have a deep love for the wild spaces of Africa and have created this business combining fantastic wines, community and a clear conservation agenda.

“Our inspiration is the ‘African Painted Wolf’, or African Hunting Dog, which is Africa’s most successful hunter due to their extraordinary team work, focus, energy and persistence,” says Jeremy Borg.

The Tusk Trust was set up 20 years ago in response to the dire plight of Elephants in Kenya during the late 1980s.

Tusk currently supports a number of projects focused on the conservation of Painted Wolves - one of the world’s most endangered carnivores.
