ON Saturday 6 March, a group of 15 people gathered in the Paarl Arboretum for the first walk of the Friends of the Arboretum.
It was a great start to what we hope will be regular walks, even if it’s only once a week for now.
The idea is that someone will be at the bridge entrance next to the Berg River Boulevard, every Saturday at 07:30.
If you are late, no problem, just catch up with us, as we plan to first walk south towards Cecelia Street, then back, finishing with shared coffee and rusks under the jacaranda trees, while the dogs have great fun sniffing and socialising.
For those of you who have longed to get back to the Arboretum, this is a safe way to do just that, and meet a few new people all at the same time.
The next meeting of the Friends of the Arboretum is on 25 March at 19:00 at Paarl Girls’ High staff room.
