David Bellairs (Co-Director of the Cape Town Cycle Tour Trust) replies: We take note of the concerns of the Paarl community and we will do a serious and complete review of the start and finish of both the Paarl and Wellington stages of the Giro del Capo, to ensure that the minimum of trauma is caused to local residents, but that at the same time, we are able to maximise the exposure given to each town.
We apologise sincerely for any disruptions and ensure readers that it was not our intention to cause major delays, but merely to try and create a greater awareness for these two wonderful towns in the Western Cape.
We look forward to finding a workable solution for all concerned.
