NATIONAL library week is currently celebrated at local libraries with fun events and a fine free period for overdue books and CDs.

This concession will not be applicable to “old fines” or fines due on late videos and DVD’s.

The kids from Groenheuwel can visit their local library for storytelling, video/DVD shows and colouring fun until 26 March. Readers will receive a library bag with a bookmark.

Saron’s senior and disabled citizens from the Percy Bilton Centre will visit their library for a relaxing morning of tea and entertainment. On Friday afternoon 26 March the kids of Saron can have their faces painted in the colours of their favourite soccer team.

At Drakenstein library on Thursday 25 March 13- to 17-year-olds can “Meek-Sit” and score with lots of airtime to be won! On Friday it’s time to kick for the Best Goalie “Laduma!” All kids aged 8 to 11 years are invited to the try-outs while the 5 to 7 years can colour their own soccer ball. All these events start at 14:30.
