Youth soccer tournament in Mbekweni

THE third u.13 Soccer Development Tournament in Mbekweni, sponsored by Build It, will be held on Saturday. The day starts at the Mbekweni Shopping Mall, where all teams will meet and begin a parade through the streets of Mbekweni to the soccer grounds where ten teams will battle it out from 08:30. The tournament will see teams such as Paarl United (2 times winners of this event), Boland Warriors, Young Juventus, Young Ideas, Mbekweni United, Mbekweni Cosmos, Eleven Ideas and many others going against each other on a knock-out basis. There are also great prizes for the day’s top achievers. Not only will the winning team and runners-up walk away with a full team soccer kit, kit bags, individual trophies and a team trophy, but they will also receive a gift voucher for the players and coach (R200 for each player of the winning team and R150 for each member of the runners-up). The player of the tournament will have his school fees for 2010 paid for by Boland Build It.
