* After finding the gates of the Drakenstein Traffic Centre closed at one o’clock on the day before Easter Friday, and again on the Monday of the strike, I went to the trouble of phoning them on Thursday to check whether they were open. Then I drove all the way there, only to find the gate closed again! Why didn’t they admit they were closed for fear of the strike? Disgusted.
