IN this disposable era, it was refreshing to find the ‘age old Swiss tradition’ of watch-making skills in Paarl!
I had three watches, kept for sentimental reasons, from my grandmother, my student days and my wedding day.
Thanks to Mr G Jacobs, a watch specialist based at a jewellery store in Paarl’s Main Street, these three are ticking after 30, 22, and 18 years respectively for less than R200! Thank you!
