Medals for Nederburg

THE 2009 vintage of Nederburg Winemaster’s Reserve Noble Late Harvest, sold nationwide, has won its first trio of accolades, earning a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) in London as well as silver medals at both the Decanter’s World Wine Awards, and the Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show. Nederburg won two gold and four silver awards at the Decanter event, announced in London in mid-May. The golds were for the 2006 vintage of two wines sold exclusively on the Nederburg Auction, the Private Bin R121 Shiraz and the Private Bin R163 Cabernet Sauvignon. In addition to the dessert wine sold on the open market, silvers went to the 2007 Ingenuity Red, a blend of Sangiovese, Barbera and Nebbiolo and to both the 2007 and 2008 vintages of Nederburg’s Edelkeur.
