Santé reopens after two years

2010-06-04

THE Santé Hotel and Wellness Centre between Paarl and Klapmuts this week re-awakens from a two year closure.

Re-energised and revitalised, the luxury Spa re-opened its doors on Tuesday.

The philosophy of Santé lives on and the ethos of bringing the nature of the vineyards into a tranquil and soothing wellness environment is still very much prevalent.

New CEO, Carlos Vilela, stands firm in his belief, “We are not here to re-invent the wheel, but to bring Santé back to life. We provide our guests with the ultimate in service excellence and bestow upon them the luxury Spa experience that one would expect from an establishment such as ours.”

All staff were hand picked and appointed for their distinctive customer service ethics and their outstanding achievements in their professional fields.

This is exemplified in Niel Rogers, the Executive Chef, who has worked in some of the most outstanding restaurants in the world.

Santé is located on a 160-hectare working wine estate and is dedicated entirely to a health and wellness lifestyle.

The well-known spa pioneered Vino-therapy in South Africa and won many accolades, most notably ‘Top three Spas of the world – Condé Nast 2006. It still remains ahead of the game, in international treatments and innovative therapies.

Santé Spa Director, Anje Liebenberg, comes with vast experience and knowledge in her field of expertise. She has held the same position for spas in Turkey, Germany and five star resorts in South Africa.

The spa has a laconium, heated indoor pool, sauna, gym, experiental showers and a steam room that can be used by all guests at Santé Hotel and Wellness Centre.

Hotel rooms are stylish and luxurious, with marble finishes and deluxe bathrooms.

Every detail pertains to the guest’s sense of relaxation and wellbeing with toiletries and cosmetics reflecting the sybiotic relationship with nature.

There are ten Manor Rooms at the hotel itself and 39 Spa Suites with fireplaces, patios and small kitchens, not to mention the restaurants and conference facilities.

“We are aiming high, to exceed previous standards and guest expectations. Every member of the team has the same vision and is commited to making this a reality.”
