2010-06-17

ON Saturday 26 June at 14:00 in the superb Pavilion at De Hoop School on the Old Stellenbosch Road in Somerset West, artists from Floral Trends’ Design Group will use the medium of floral art to interpret the world’s water crisis.

The Pavilion, with its wonderful views across False Bay, is the perfect venue for what will be some inspirational entertainment. Working to the theme ‘Water, water everywhere/ Nor any drop to drink’.

Well-known artists, Marietjie de la Bat, Pam Harris, Jeanette Hablutzel, Henriette Louw and Kathy Potton will take to the stage. Also included in the line-up are two learner judges, Ewald Wessels and Thelma Green.

They will demonstrate such concepts as ‘Acid Rain’, ‘Flooding’, Deforestation’, ‘Toxic Water’, ‘Waterwise Gardening’ etc. This will be a wonderful afternoon accompanied by music, visual images and a mouth-’watering’ tea.

Tickets are R100 (R80 for pensioners). Contact Ilse Holroyd at 021-851-6123.
