AFTER the Bafana Bafana match against France (on Tuesday at 16:00), Drakensteiners still have six opportunities to visit the public viewing area at Boland Park Cricket Stadium to watch World Cup Soccer on a big screen and take part in the Drakenstein Soccer Festival programme from 13:00.

The viewing area will also be open from midday on 25 June (Brazil vs Portugal, 16:00), 2 July (quarter finals, 16:00 and 20:30), 3 July (quarter final, 16:00 and 20:30), 6 July (semi-final, 20:30), 7 July (semi-final, 20:30) and 11 July (final, 20:00). Entry is free.

The festivities will also feature top local artists including Emo Adams and DJ Fistaz (22 June), DJ Questa and Jan Smit (25 June), DJ Kallie, DJ Saint, DJ Leo Large and DJ PH (2 July), DJ Hilton, DJ Sexy, DJ Gaywin and Rudimentals (3 July), DJ G Force and Jamali (6 July), DJ Myllie and Hip Hop Pantsula (7 July) and Mbekweni Youth Talent Dancers and Black Noise (11 July).

The public is welcome to bring picnic blankets or portable chairs. Food and drinks on sale is available at the venue.

Free transport is provided from Saron, Gouda and Hermon, Wellington and Mbekweni (Colibri Hall, Newton Clinic, Mannies, Shah’s Corner, St Alban’s Primary, Town Hall, U-Save Shoprite), Paarl (Groenheuwel Garage, Fairfoods, Chicago, Food O’Rama, old police station, Amstelhof, Shoprite, Dalweide, New Orleans Pub, Dalvale clinic, Dalveide Primary, Broadway and Centre Pt).
