Clash of the Titans

A JUNIOR sevens rugby tournament titled ‘Clash of the Titans’, will be held on 24 and 30 June at the Dal Josaphat Stadium, for the junior sport stars in the Drakenstein area, with the finals taking place on 6 July. This tournament, which will take place from 12:00 to 16:00, is hosted by Bright Idea Projects and the Drakenstein Municipality. The tournament will present the opportunity for 16 teams per age category (u.12, u.14 and u.16) to view for the crown in their categories. The objectives of the event is to encourage sport participation during the school holidays, to create a recreational environment to the youth through sports, to use the event as a developmental platform regarding social awareness and to raise funds for the development of junior rugby in the area. The event promises to be an exciting annual induction to keep the youth active through rugby.
