FOLLOWING last year’s successful run of “Plaaskindertjies – The Musical” which played at the Ou Meul Theatre as well as at several Drakenstein Valley schools, talented director and comic actor Hein Poole of Paarl has produced another light-hearted musical tale, with a serious underlying message.
Entitled “Living it Green with Boesman and Hip-Hop” the play targets an older primary school audience, and focuses on caring for the environment, as well as drawing attention to the social ills of crime and gangsterism.
The aim of the production is education through the medium of entertainment, and it offers a fun, accessible, child-friendly blend of fantasy, comedy and contemporary dance as devices.
“Living it Green with Boesman and Hip-Hop” stars Hein, along with a handful other cast members from the area and has already been well-received at various primary schools in Wellington.
