* Reunion. The matric class of 2000 of Weltevrede Secondary presents an Old School Party on 27 August at Club Niveau. The party (R10) starts at 20:00. Contact Adriaan on 083-2424-325 or Madelein September on 072-966-4326.
* Open day. Boland College will be hosting their annual Open Day on 13 August from 09:00 to 15:00. This will give prospective students the opportunity to experience the Boland College vibe, give them face-to-face introductions with their future teachers and a chance to get to know what Boland College can offer them for their future. This day will also bring with it fun and prizes.<
* Damesoggend. In die gees van Vrouedag word ’n damesoggend op 14 Augustus om 10:00 by die Simondium Country Lodge aangebied. Die skreeusnaakse Marion Holm gaan sorg vir die oggend se vermaak. Die fondse wat ingesamel word, gaan vir die Alta du Toit Nasorgsentrum. Kaartjies is R110 en sluit eetgoed, ’n wynproe, gelukkige trekkings en hope vermaak in. Daar gaan ook stalletjies wees. * Funksie. ’n Ete om fondse in te samel vir die evangelisasiewerk in die gevangenis deur evangelis Danny Arendse word op Sondag 22 Augustus om 12:00 by die Drakenstein kerksaal in Denneburg aangebied deur die kerk. Kaartjies is tot Woensdag 18 Augustus by die kerkkantoor (021-872-8242) verkrygbaar teen R50 vir ’n smaaklike tweegangmaaltyd met hoenderpastei. Bring jou vriende, eie eetgerei en drinkgoed en kom kuier gesellig saam!
* Support. The Funky Buddha club has launched their ‘Have a Heart’ campaign which will run every Saturday for the month of August. Saturdays before 23:00, entry is free when you bring a can of food, to be donated to a worthy charity in Paarl. Well-known DJ Brandon Leigh will keep guests dancing all night, so come and support a good cause.
