* Band. The band The Inside Job wil perform at Zu’Bar in Church Street, Wellington, on 28 August from 20:00. Tickets cost R15.
* Uitstalling. Die vierde lede-uitstalling van die Kunsvereniging Stellenbosch open op Saterdag 11 September om 11:00 by die Kunssentrum PJ Olivier. Die kunstenaar is Hannes Meiring (postuum), Lyn Smuts, Evette Weyers en Marieke Kruger (’n Paarliet) en Dylan Lewis is die gasspreker. Vir navrae, kontak Anita by 082-4155-609. Die uitstalling duur tot 22 September.
* Art. On 26 August the Drakenstein Art Society presents Fantasy Art “Living the emotion of creativity” as theme for their monthly workshop at the Breytenbach Centre at 18:30. Book on 083-535-6712. On 27 and 28 August they will host Jacolene de Haan for the weekend with the theme “Release your Creative Block”. Contact 082-575-3292 or visit Moer Café at the Breytenbach Centre. The cost is R250 for members and R500 for non-members.
* Exhibition. The Gallery at the Grande Provence Wine Estate in Franschhoek showcases an art exhibition “andWHATnow?”, which opens on Sunday 29 August at 11:00 and runs until Wednesday 6 October.
* Kunste-aand. Op 28 Augustus om 19:00 tree die bekende “The Dukes”-kamerkoor van St Stithians College op in Hoër Jongenskool (HJS) se skoolsaal, as gaste tydens die jaarlikse Matriek Prestige Kunste-aand. Tydens hierdie geleentheid word die matriek-musiekstudente se talente ten toon gestel. HJS se blaasorkes en vokale ensemblegroep sal ook optree. Kaartjies teen R50 (wat sop en brood ná die tyd insluit) is by die deure te koop. Skakel Marissa by 083-413-0119 vir meer inligting.
* Uitstalling. ’n Paarlse kunstenaar, Johann Burger, stal sy werke uit by die Liebrecht Galery in Somerset-Wes van 1 tot 21 September. Johann is ’n bekende in Paarlse bewaringskringe en was en is steeds ten nouste betrokke by die navorsing en die visuele uitbeeldings by De Poort.
* Disco. The Paarl Stimulation Centre, school for disabled learners presents a disco on Friday (20:00) to raise funds for the school. For tickets ( R20), contact 021-862-7113.
