* With the Breede River running at its lowest levels since 2004, it was decided that the annual run from the McGregor Bridge (Robertson) to Diggton Farm (Bonnievale) would be moved to the Berg River (the 30 km section from Gouda Bridge to Bridgetown. Local canoeists who performed well, were: (Top Ten) 2nd - Ernest van Riet/Heindrich Schloms (Maties/Paarl - 2:04:44); 6. Herbert Conradie/Gary Cromie (Paarl/SOS - 2:15:55; 1ste veterans); 8.
