THE Wellington Gravel Travel mountain-bike event takes place at Diemersfontein Wine and Country Estate on 28 August.

Entries are limited to 1200 riders.

To make the event more exciting, an additional single track has been included for the adrenalin junkies. The 65 km route will be challenging,but within reach of the fit rider. The 30 km route is similarly exciting, but you will spend less time in the saddle.

All the prominent wine farms of the area will be there to present award-winning wines for tasting, as well as buying. There will also be ample food.

To make this a real family event there will also be a 5 km race for the kids.
