Beautiful new book on Paarl

A BEAUTIFUL new photographic book on Paarl and Wellington, titled “Gateway to the South African Winelands”, was launched recently by author Di Burger and photographer Jeremy Browne. The book is a superb photographic reflection of the splendour of the entire Drakenstein Valley, featuring a large selection of local wine estates, guest-houses, restaurants and shops in the area. It is contains a well researched section on the history of the area, the people who live here and the emerging Afrikaans language. The book is available at book shops as well as local tourist offices.
