Cricket action for Paarl teams

TWO Paarl Action Cricket teams will be taking part in the interprovincial tournament at the Claremont Arena in the Werdmuller Centre, Cape Town, next week on behalf of Boland. A men’s open and a mixed open team will participate, the members hoping to be selected for the SA squad which will participate in the World Cup in Johannesburg next year. Supporters are welcome at the event in Claremont (there is no entrance fee.) Dino de Pentieiros, owner of Paarl Action Sports in the Berg River Business Park, will represent South Africa as action cricket umpire in Brisbane, Australia, next month from 9 October at the 2010 Open & Masters World Cup (enquiries 021-868-3339).
