POPULAR global brand KFC celebrated its induction into the mini-cricket family with the launch of the 16 annual regional festivals, which kicked off in August.

KFC Mini -cricket will be hosting the Boland KFC Mini-cricket Festival on Saturday, 18 September from 09:00 at Boland Park.

The kids will display the bowling, batting and fielding skills they have learnt through the mini-cricket programme.

It may be interesting to note that 80% of the current national squad started out playing mini-cricket including Hashim Amla, Mark Boucher, Loots Bosman, AB de Villiers and Makhaya Ntini.

The festivals are an opportunity for the young players to showcase the skills they have learnt through the programme and for the community at large to experience the fun and enjoyment that mini-cricket brings.
