Week of golfing action ahead

THE Paarl Golf Club will once again host its annual Winelands Festival this coming weekend.
The Winelands Festival, the second oldest golf festival in the country, kicks off on Saturday with the Champagne Classic mixed event.
Some 1400 players will compete over the six days in a variety of events that culminate with the prestigious Winelands Classic next Saturday.
The juniors and seniors competition will take place this Sunday and Monday followed by the Franz Jewellers Classic for women on Tuesday.
Wednesday it’s time for the Toyota competition, followed by the Nedbank and Bell's Fishing competitions on Thursday and Friday.
Following the highlight of the week, the Winelands Classic on Saturday, the Golfers Club Paarl Open will be played the next day.
