ON Saturday 9 October the gates of Inca Vale Alpaca Farm and Wholesale Tree Nursery (adjacent to Florida Padstal) will once again be open to the public from 9:00 to 16:00.
The public will be given an opportunity to see and learn about the alpacas and the products made from their wool. The alpacas’ manure is also a prized nutrient in the tree nursery and will be on sale during the Open Day, as well as indigenous trees and plants.
A local leader in the industry and owner of Inca Vale, Gavin Lindhorst, will give a talk on the alpacas at 11:00.
Alpaca garments from Helderstroom Alpacas in Villiersdorp will also be displayed.
