ALTHOUGH the Drakenstein Municipality has gone to a lot of trouble to construct housing in Mbekweni, there is concern about the process of allocation of these houses. There are many flaws and unethical practices.
There is an outcry from the community that alleges that some officials are engaging in corrupt actions which may result in serious ethical misconduct.
Many people are disgruntled and angry about the manner in which things are done.
I am appealing to Councillor Arthob Petersen to do something, to minimise the suspicions of our people, regarding the housing department.

It is extremely difficult to tract irregularities without specific proof. We call on residents who are unhappy, to lay specific documented complaints with me at the Municipality.
