EVERY year the Paarl Post Christmas Fund raises funds for the Western Cape Community Chest, which supports about 30 local deserving non-profit organisations.
Community Chest already makes considerable annual contributions to these NGOs (about R727 000 per year) and local businesses and institutions are invited to give them a boost by contributing to the coffers via the 2010 Paarl Post Christmas Fund.
Local contributions to the Community Chest are paid into a separate bank account, to ensure that those donations are utilised for NGOs in Paarl Valley. No contributions will be paid to organisations outside the circulation area of Paarl Post readers.
Donations can be paid into the bank account of Community Chest/Paarl Post Christmas Fund 62152029007 at FNB (branch number 261150) and fax the slip marked Christmas Fund to 086-270-3693.
The Paarl Post hereby appeals to schools to support this project by organising a fund-raising with pupils. Donations will be featured in the newspaper with a photograph of the presentation by learners of the school.
