'Guards' rob shop

THREE men wearing security guard uniforms, robbed a Somalian shop in Wellington of R1740 on Tuesday evening. The incident occured in Erongo Street, Egoli, at 20:00, when three uniformed men entered the shop. One of them threatened the shop assistant, Cynthia Kwelethu, with a firearm, while the other men went around the counter to empty the till. Kwelethu shouted for help, and when a neighbour came to her assistance, a shot was fired by one of the robbers. Nobody was injured and the men fled the scene with the money. No arrests have yet been made and police are currently trying to establish to which security company the uniforms belong.
