Retired principal found murdered

ANGRY Mbekweni residents are searching for a man after the brutal murder of a former principal of Mbekweni Primary Schoolon Sunday. Mbekweni police were summoned to a house in Maqina Street by neighbours early on Sunday evening after domestic violence erupted there. On their arrival they found the body of Alfred Tsholoba (64) lying in a pool of blood on the floor inside the house. He had been stabbed numerous times in his body and face, and died on the scene. Another elderly man who had allegedly tried to assist Tsholoba during the attack was found outside the house with various knife wounds in the face. He was taken to Paarl Hospital for treatment. Tsholoba was a respected school principal who retired in 2005. He is survived by his wife, Kholiswa, and three children. A memorial service will be held today at 13:30 in the community hall, with the funeral on Saturday at the same venue at 09:00.
