THE son of a respected resident of Mbekweni has been arrested for the murder of his father.

Alfred Tsholoba, the former principal of Mbekweni Primary School, was found dead recently in his home in Maqina Street.

According to witnesses, Tsholoba and a close family member where arguing when he was stabbed with a knife.

Shortly after the incident, Tsholoba’s 24-year-old son fled the scene.

Mbekweni police followed up information on the young man’s whereabouts, and traced him to the home of a family member in Fairyland.

Monde Christopher Tsholoba has been arrested for murder.
