Seven Presidential Awards for outstanding performance or service were presented. For the third consecutive year Boland Athletics set a new record by winning more medals in 2010 at the various national and international champion- ships events than previous years. The most remarkable achievement was during the 2010 ASA Youth and Junior Championships when the Boland Athletes won 45 medals, the most ever at this level, finishing second on the medal tally with Central Gauteng Athletics a mere four medals ahead. Four years ago, Central Gauteng Athletics finished more than 30 medals ahead of Boland Athletics on this medal tally.
