DRAKENSTEIN Municipality gave recognition to employees who have performed their duties with excellence for the year 2010, during an Employee Excellence Awards Ceremony recently. These awards recognise those that go that extra mile.
Both unions attended and supported the event and they have encouraged workers to commit to good service delivery.
The nine categories awarded were: Employee of the year: -André Kowaleski (Infrastructure and Planning),
Woman Achiever Award - Talita Smit (Infrastructure and Planning) and Ilse Witsche (Corporate Governance), Individual Award - Zondani (Infrastructure and Planning), Mentoring Award - Lester Hartogh (Finance), Team Customer Care - Saron Library services; Social Services, Team Award - Human Resources Team; Individual Customer Care Award - Ilse Witsche (Corporate Services Wellington), Leadership Award - Martin Verhoeven – Electricity Section and Innovation Award - Janine Penfold (Infrastructure and Planning).
The Municipal Manager’s Discretionary Award went to Vaughan Crail from the Finance department.
